Today is Labor Day and I am grateful. Grateful for everything I have: a loving and supportive husband, a joyful fur baby (our dog Paloma), loyal friends and family, a beautiful roof over our head, healthy nourishing food to eat, customers who appreciate the work I do, and a job I love! God is good and I’m spending time celebrating and reflecting on the many reasons why I am blessed and grateful to live in a country where, as a woman, I can be an entrepreneur and my own boss. It really is a beautiful thing that I never want to take for granted!

Today I am also reflecting on one of my core values as a business owner: support the local economy and foster job creation. One of the ways I choose to do that is by manufacturing my jewelry in Downtown Los Angeles. It makes me feel proud to use my talents to play a small part in the overall strength, prosperity and well being of my community and country. By supporting small businesses like mine you can feel proud too, knowing that your hard earned dollars that you labored for go right back into supporting a thriving community. That is so important to the health of our economy now more than ever. Thank you for your support and may you have a safe and happy Labor Day!
Thank you Stephanie at Booth Photographics for capturing these great photos of me working!

Hi Everyone!
So excited to announce a moment I've been dreaming about for such a long time. VLM Jewelry's FIRST craft show!

On March 19th and 20th I'll be selling my line and sharing the inspiration behind my debut collection, HARMONY at Artists & Fleas in Downtown Los Angeles.

This fantastic artist community that originated on the East Coast more than ten years ago has been growing rapidly in Los Angeles. A&F just added a Venice location this month, so you may see me on the westside in the near future! Read up on Artists & Fleas

I have my super sweet and talented jewelry friend, Courtney Bensik, to thank for referring me to this event. I can't wait for you all to join me in this lively and creative atmosphere!
Please stop by to say hello and feel free to invite friends. The more the merrier!

My husband, Noel and I recently found ourselves amongst the glitz and gaud of the Vegas casino strip, researching four important jewelry trade shows: Pool, Project, Accessories the show and Capsule. It was our first time walking these shows where burgeoning brands go to land wholesale accounts with department stores and boutiques. It was such an inspiring information gathering trip!

Seeing the uniqueness behind everyone's products, brand story, and booth displays left us dreaming about the possibilities for VLM Jewelry!
We were grateful to meet so many friendly entrepreneurs who shared their knowledge and opinions on the various shows. The overall consensus? Gain experience by exhibiting at local craft shows in preparation for our first Vegas expo.

Artists & Fleas marks that first important craft show milestone for what is to come over the next six months. Noel and I aim to exhibit in Las Vegas this coming August. In the meantime I'll keep you posted on more local craft shows along the way to this exciting destination!

Thanks for your support!

It was such an honor to join dear friend and Flutter Magazine's Lifestyle Editor, Kelly Oshiro, for a soirée celebrating the magazine's 8th issue. If you have not heard of this gorgeous coffee table worthy publication yet, run down to Barnes & Noble and grab yourself a copy! You can thank me later. Kelly and I were almost twinsies decked out in our red holiday frocks and glistening bronze baubles by yours truly.
Kelly wore several pieces from the debut collection, and was the talk of the party! You can shop her look here.
My husband and business partner, Noel Arthur, and I sipped our favorite holiday libations while taking in the perfectly decorated and photo spread worthy event space. Highlights of the evening included meeting and congratulating the magazine's founder, Kim Wiseley, bumping in to our old friend Joy Proctor of Trousseau & Co, and celeb sightings: Lauren Conrad & Maura McManus, the dynamic duo behind clothing line Paper Crown.
Never turn down the opportunity to rock a killer holiday manicure to compliment your rings! Don't you just love how a bold red dress and nails make bronze jewelry POP?!  I loaded on several pieces from the debut collection. All these goodies can be found here.
The lovely bunch responsible for the gorgeousness and fun of the evening...Left to right: Joy Proctor, Jose Villa, Kelly Oshiro, Lauren Conrad, Maura McManus, Kim Wiseley, Nina Kincaid.
Have a happy holiday season everyone! Cheers!
