I thought it would be fun to share some love and wanderlust inspiration for all you romantics out there for St. Valentine’s Day via anything but your typical destination.
Stylist Kelly Oshiro and Beaux Arts Photographie partnered to create this breathtaking Costa Rican love story for a 100 Layer Cake editorial featuring jewelry from our ATMOSPHAERA Collection. After seeing all this dreamy tropical inspo I might just have to plan my next romantic getaway to this Nosaran gem.
Kelly says, For the overall design direction, I really wanted to honor all things Costa Rican and the “Pura Vida” or “pure living” lifestyle. Starting with the couple, both were local to the area, and I chose wardrobe that was appropriately unfussy and realistic for the steamy climate.

I added some drama to the bride’s look with a statement headpiece; a true orchid “crown.” I was especially inspired by the gravity defying floral headpieces of Joshua Werber.
I love Kelly’s eye for bold color and unexpected detail. Pulling it all together paints a passionate fairytale.
This particular part of Costa Rica is not only a beautiful location for an elopement or micro wedding, it’s home to the newly renovated Nosara Beach Hotel, right above scenic Playa Pelada.
It’s the one and only beachfront hotel in Nosara and it's drop dead gorgeous!
